FOOD BIOTECHNOLOGY KIT (4 WORK STATIONS)

AIM

To produce two different types of dairy product by acid or enzymatic coagulation processes using microorganisms.
To analyse the resulting products, evaluate their final pH, stain and observe the bacteria responsible for the processes.
To produce dextran using microorganisms.

LEVEL

Can be adapted to O-level, A/AS-level, Science colleges and Universities.

TECHNIQUES

Microbial culture process and detection of the products resulting from the processes.

DURATION

Two 50 minute practice sessions.

CONTENT

Each kit contains four work stations with all the necessary material and components to perform the experiments: racks, material for microbial inoculation, culture media, staining solution, material for measuring the pH and other general content to perform the practice session successfully.
