VITA AIDELOS is a biotechnology company located in the BizkaiaTechnology Park. It was set up with the aim of creating a positive social perception of biotechnology, while maintaining scientific rigour.

VITA AIDELOS has a consolidated range of products – portable biotechnology kits – and it has been granted three European patents. The company is now focussing its unceasing R & D activity in the field of forensics and human health.

Seed Capital Bizkaia(a Regional Council company affiliated to Biscay Regional Council’s Department of Economic Development and Innovation) owns shares in VITA AIDELOS. VITA AIDELOS has also been financed by Caixa Capital Risc and by ENISA (affiliated to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce).

VITA AIDELOS has collaborated with prestigious R&D investigation groups (DNA Bank – University of the Basque Country and BIOMICS) and with foundations such as FECYT and Genoma España (Ministry of Science and Innovation, among others) in order to bring biotechnology closer to the general public by bridging the gap between investigation and society.

VITA AIDELOSworks with educational institutions, science museums and foundations that promote scientific knowledge to make society aware of the importance this discipline has on development and progress.
